cucina

I’ve grown up cooking for 10+ people, but only in the past year and a half or so have I taken an actual interest in the rawness and art of cooking. It’s really beautiful if you think about it — it’s creative, savory, sensual, raw, and necessary. I love learning about food, its health value, how to honor its taste while also combining it with other foods to make something simply good. Especially this past semester in Italy, taking cooking lessons and eating some of the best — yet simplest — food that I’ve ever tasted has inspired me to really develop my taste and ability for cooking well.

SO, this summer I am starting a project with myself of learning how to expand on what I already know about cooking and food, and using that to develop a deeper understanding and taste for simple, elegant, good food.

And hopefully if I remember, I’ll document it here.
